CLIR Issues Number 41

CLIR Issues Number 41: "How, asked this speaker, can disciplines within a knowledge domain long characterized by solitary study learn not only how to survive but also to thrive in the new, collaborative Web environment? "
It seems to me this is a real challenge for the faculties in seminaries and schools of theology. Collaborative models of scholarship are not common. I've projected in the past that changes in scholarly publishing would drive changes in these institutions. Perhaps the more significant issue is that digital scholarship depends on collaboration. It is not just scholarly publishing that is changing, but the very nature (and culture) of scholarship.
